Coltron began writing for Tell Me Sincerely… in August 2006, and later released it in 2008. His sophomore effort, Inspiration, was released in 2010. His current (third) album, Forgettable, is now available as of February 2011.
“It’s the most personal body of work I’ve written, produced, and recorded to date,” Coltron says of Forgettable.
Coltron has already completed most of the writing for his forth album (which, as of yet, is still untitled), and has begun the production and recording process for this album.
He hopes to release his forth album in early January 2012.
Coltron describes his passion for music: “I’ve been involved in the performing arts since around the age of 10, and have found that emoting musically has always been such an important part of expression for me,” says Coltron. “For me, within music there is such an strong exchange of feeling and emotion…whether happy or sad, being able to express myself in that way is just…so…delicious.”
Coltron James was born in the sunny state of Arizona. At an early age, Coltron discovered his love for the performing arts while doing independent and industry film work, making PSA’s for radio, and performing in numerous plays.
When asked about his expectations for his album releases, Coltron says, “The only expectation that I have is to be able to put my feelings out there, musically, and to hope that others, even one person, can relate at some level,” Coltron says. “For me, the greatest success I could ask for is just doing [good] work I can be proud of.”
Coltron is currently working on producing and recording his fourth album
(which, as of yet, is still untitled), and hopes to release it sometime in early
2012.
